Advocacy Overview and Policy Priorities
As an advocate of affordable housing and community development programs that revitalize the nation's distressed communities, NNA is committed to ensuring that federal legislators and decision makers recognize the needs of the nation's neighborhoods. It is also committed to making sure that federal legislation and policies promote housing and community development programs that are undertaken by local, non-profit community organizations.
Overview/Policy Priorities
NNA works to link our members’ expertise in housing and community development to the national housing policy makers. NNA strives to create meaningful impact on policy and federal appropriations through (1) pro-active education of all our stakeholders; (2) the promotion of the value and effectiveness of the NeighborWorks® Network; and (3) advocacy for strategic resources and programmatic support to ensure financial viability and successful outcomes.
NNA has developed a Legislative Agenda for 2010 that will guide our advocacy efforts in key areas where our members have expressed a need for advocacy.
